Goal: $10,000.00
Specific Need
It takes a village to save the life of an orphaned baby wild animal. It also takes a lot of formula, medicine, food, equipment and months of specialized care. ARC Wild doesn't receive government funding but instead relies on the support of animal lovers like you. When you called, we were there. Now, it's your turn to help us! Don't forget... ARC Wild's entire team is 100% volunteer. That means 100% of your donation goes directly to it's mission. Here is how your donation will be used:
- Establish and train an Oil Spill Response team. In 2023, ARC Wild worked behind the scenes with the Washington, Kansas. Now, they've invited us to establish a first response team in the event of a future spill. This team is the next step in emergency preparedness for our communities.
- Provide a program in your community! In 2023, we expanded our programs to include adults! We traveled all over northeast Kansas providing programs at schools, community events and even nursing homes. Programs can be tailored to any subject, age level, ability or group size.
- ARC Wild Rangers In 2024 we will expand this program to include youth in grades 4th-5th and 6th - 8th grades. Also new are summer camp opportunities and internships. Rangers meet monthly during the school year to learn more about careers in the field of conservation, develop public speaking skills, get hands on with live wildlife ambassadors and travel behind the scenes at zoos and other facilities.
- NEW Animal Ambassadors coming in 2024! We have something wild in mind and we need your support to bring it to Kansas! Animal ambassadors require ongoing care, veterinary care and licensing. Help us give a non-releaseable wild animal a second chance to live through teaching about conservation.
