Specific Need
Specific Need – Funds will be used to perpetuate scholarships
for Nemaha County public school students who plan to pursue a
bachelor’s degree in education and enter the teaching field (pre-k
through high school).
1. The Association of Nemaha County Retired School
Personnel Scholarship is given to a graduating senior from
any Nemaha County public school, who plans to pursue a
degree in education and enter the teaching field (pre-k
through high school).
2. Neoma B. Eichenberger Memorial Scholarship is
presented to a Sabetha High School graduating senior who
plans to pursue a degree in education. This scholarship was
established by Neoma’s daughter, Mavis Jean Glenn, to
honor her mother, a teacher and lifelong supporter of public
education.

quality of life in our county and promote independence, dignity
and purpose for our members.
Profile
Profile – The Association of Nemaha County Retired SchoolPersonnel was founded on May 22, 1973. This organization
supports retired school personnel, both certified and classified.
Members continue to use their talents as educators to support
their communities by donating countless hours volunteering
through a variety of activities each year. These opportunities
promote independence, dignity and purpose for our members.
