Brown County Humane Society

Goal: $20,000.00

Specific Need

Brown Co Humane Society is using the donations to expand our dog kennel area. We are constantly over-capacity & for the 1st time since we opened 8 years ago, we are being forced to turn away strays. It just breaks our hearts. The project is going slow. We are working on it as time & money allow. The metal building that is attached to the shelter was only 1/4 finished when we purchased the shelter. Our 'project' is to finish the rest of the addition. At this time, we have water into & drains out out of the building and the floor now has cement.  We will have 10 additional dog runs when the work is all completed.

Mission

The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education.

We accept animals from the surrounding communities; we have no boundaries when it comes to animals in need.

We work diligently to give the animal’s good care during their stay at the shelter and find them the best homes possible.
